Zodiac 76 Stem replacement

Hello All! First time poster here and new member.
I have a Zodiac wrist watch which on the rotor says it is a 76. I bought a winding stem that was supposedly for a model 72 which the 76 is based on. However it did not fit in the winding stem entry point, the replacement was a fraction too big.

Does anyone have detailed measurement of what the winding stem should measure?

Is it possible the rotor got changed and it isn't a 76?

Any Help or suggestions are welcome!

Definately the correct rotor.

Per the service manual they should be the same stem, IF using a genuine Zodiac parts (HA!). While I do not do repairs, I think aftermarket stems fit many models and need to be trimmed to fit.

Stem for regular 70-72 won't fit 76 as the last has a quick set date complication.
There are two major differences of stems for this family:
- no quick set: 70, 72, 70-72, 74, 75, 78
- with quick set: 72B, 75B, 76, 88, 86

Thanks Yuriy! I forget about the push in quick set, so it would be a different stem, as you say.
