Correct hands for vintage Sea Wolf?

Started by Hans, August 24, 2024, 12:45:51 PM

Dear friends, as a relative newbie to collecting vintage Zodiacs and as predicted by jmh responding to my intro, the itch has become powerful and wants scratching......So I have come across this nice Sea Wolf locally, but from what little I know, I am concerned that the hands are not correct and later replacements. What do you experts think? Thank you for your advice, Hans.

you're correct to have concerns...hands are not even close. recommend you subscribe to the Vintage Zodiac catalogs on this forum, lots of reference material.

Dear both, thank you for your comments. Indeed I did look at the forum gallery Sea Wolf pictures, which was very helpful and showed the various handsets used. What I was unsure about was whether there could have been an evolution of different handsets one the same case model. So will let this one pass...

Indeed, this watch is mangled. Hands are from ref #722 906 style 1781B
