I was told that the bracelet is an earlier version Zodiac SSW, and it has the Zodiac stamp on the clasp.

I agree that the bracelet looks erie similar to the 90's point series. I just have to take the sellers word for it.
The 90's bands all has fold over clasps, and most had the wet suit expansion links at the clasp.
That band is the same as the one they used on the Swiss Formulas from the 90's.
It looks nice on the SSW.

The band you have is what I see on most of those models.
No sweat Poul, it does not lessen the value and is actually a better band anyway.

I think I've seen it in catalog scans at least once before. If memory serves me, it appeared along with the "saw tooth" bezel 100 ATM, so maybe it was a late version 75 ATM?
That is one of the holes in my collection, that I hope to eventually fill. I've only seem them for sale either with an ate up bezel insert (good luck fixing or replacing THAT), or when I didn't have the money to spend. Poul definitely has a beauty there.
Poul's, through his pictures, is the only one I have ever seen outside of a piece of advertising. NICE catch Poul.
There was one on ebay sometime back, but it had the screwed up bezel insert. I'm not sure exactly how long Poul's had his, but there was one I was admiring on a watch forum a couple years back, that my admittedly unreliable memory tells me was his. That would make it only two that I've seen. There can't be too many of those floating around, in any event.
Again, congratulations Poul, that is a rare and beautiful watch.

I couple of years ago a guy on WUS called tomvox sold about 10 of this particular model. His watchmaker had found a stash in Switzerland I believe. He sold them with the original box and the original tropic strap for about $999. I bought mine back in 2005 for $850 from a guy in Italy, and I bought the bracelet back in 2008 from an Ebay seller, who said that it was an original SSW bracelet.
Your 70's SSW has the uni-directional bezel, whereas mine you have to push down the bezel and turn it. Plus mine is bi-directional.
