Title: Vintage Super Sea Wolf, signed crown?
Post by: dawej on November 07, 2011, 02:06:59 PM
I am in the hunt for one of them old Super Sea Wolfs and I've got a deal going. Just a few questions.

I assume these came with an unsigned crown? Been googling for pictures and I am yet to find one with a signed crown...

Did it have "printed" indexes? Like the newer 1000m SSW.

And I have seen some dials that are matte, while the one I have my eyes on are more shiny. Just trying to figure if it has been redone. Here is the one I'm interested in: (https://www.vintagezodiacs.com/zforums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi190.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz156%2Ffiberclass%2FDSCF1571.jpg&hash=32fedc1af94f709f68c7d4166b6e21a66dd8aac3)

Thanks

Crown was never signed on that model. The dial was probably shiny when new, but faded over the years. The indices were a painted florescent orange with Lum in the middle of them.
